DESIGN YOUR OWN INDIVIDUAL RINGS

Inspired by the 5,000-year-old lost wax technique, you will experience real goldsmith work in this workshop! Our workshop leader is a jewelry designer from Berlin and can hardly wait to help you design your individual dream ring. After you have made a wax mold of your ring in this course, our jewelry designer will cast the ring in precious metal and send you your new favorite ring 2-3 weeks later. Don't worry, your (wax) ring is in good hands with our trained jewelry designer. It is important to us to establish sustainable jewelry produced in Germany. Let's be honest: it doesn't get any better than this.

ATTENTION! The workshop fee only includes the wax design course. The costs for further processing amount to an additional €90 - €160, depending on the size of the ring and the choice of material.

 

ABOUT THE LOST-WAX TECHNIQUE:

With the lost wax technique (also known as the lost wax casting process ), the wax model is encased in an investment material, which will later serve as a mold for the precious metal. Precious metal is poured into the mold through a pouring hole in the mold. The hot metal melts the wax, which can escape from the mold through an exit hole. When the precious metal mass cools down, the mold can be removed. What remains is your ring, which Elina's trained hand puts the finishing touches to.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

In this workshop, you will design your own individual ring by implementing your specific design idea in a wax model in consultation with our jewelry designer. Of course, we also have some templates that you can use as inspiration. You decide on site how your wax model should be processed after the workshop: Should it be silver, blackened, coated with a thin layer of gold, matte or polished? 2-3 weeks after the course, you will receive your dream ring in the mail.

  • Gather inspiration: Browse Pinterest and Instagram to gather ideas for your ring. Feel free to bring pictures and images of rings that you like.

Hatte viel Spaß

Der Kurs war super organisiert und macht richtig viel Spaß, das bearbeiten des Wachsrings erfordert, Geduld und Konzentration und es ist toll zu sehen wie der Ring entsteht. Freue mich schon sehr auf den fertigen Ring

Tolles Geschenk

Die Idee finde ich super. Der Workshop dauert 3 Std. lang. Etwas knapp von der Zeit her, weil man natürlich nicht direkt startet und teilweise etwas warten muss, weil nicht jedes Werkzeug so oft verfügbar ist, wie Teilnehmer. Aber danach war man auch froh, dass man endlich fertig geworden ist.
Hat auf jeden Fall Spaß gemacht. Falls jmd. nicht fertig geworden ist, konnte man das Material und das Werkzeug mit nach Hause nehmen, um es Zuhause fertig zu stellen.
